Join Christina and Rebecca, and the Seattle Police Explorers as they make a difference in Seattle.
Support Seattle’s Future Leaders
The Seattle Police Explorers are a group of 30 dedicated young adults who take pride in serving their community while learning valuable lessons in leadership. The Explorers attend monthly sessions to build leadership skills, learn about law enforcement, and what it takes to be a strong member of society.
Seattle Police Explorers have many opportunities to apply the training they receive during monthly meetings. Members volunteer at community events doing security work, directing traffic, fingerprinting small children, helping with Crime Prevention Programs, as well as working at various summer community events. Currently, Seattle Police Explorers average more than 4,500 hours of community service annually!
The Seattle Explorers are funded solely through grant support from the Seattle Police Foundation. Their dedication and service to the community as well as their opportunity to grow into future leaders would not be possible without the generosity of people who believe in that a safe city is the result of strong partnerships between the police and those they protect.
Investing in the Seattle Explorers Post is an investment in the leaders of tomorrow. Many of them will make up the next generation of Seattle Police officers. All of them will be stronger citizens and leaders in their community as a result of their experience in the Seattle Explorers Post. An investment in them is an investment in Seattle’s future!
About the Seattle Police Foundation
The Seattle Police Foundation exists to provide additional support to the Seattle Police Department in the areas of community partnerships, employee development, and new technologies and equipment. All funds raised from this campaign will go towards to the Seattle Police Explorers to cover their trainings, uniforms and equipment, and other programmatic costs.
